Spent the last hour brewing cooling tea with mummy. it tastes so so good! Can’t wait for S to try it.

Weekend trip

Am outta Sg in approximately 9 hours time. Waiting for S to land. i already prepared egg sandwiches plus cooling tea and my cam’s all ready and set.

and i am excited. Although i predict S is going to be so shagged from the flight which means i should get some shut eye cause i know who’s going to end up driving.

one of the nights last week, S and i ventured Haji Lane, and we had the most amazing dessert. This thing called Strawberry Surprise. There was a circus going on in my mouth!

it had a biscuit base, followed by this scrumptious mix of strawberries and berries and then filled with FETA cheese and burnt at the top.

woah!

i love it. Cuddling on the sofa reading papers/book with this dessert is such a cosy affair.

I think the programme will air end of June? or was it July? not sure…. but it sure was tiring.

I don’t think im cut out to strut in front of the Tv.

but i had tons of fun with Quin! he is an utter sweetheart lah tt boy, i wanna kidnap him. The two of us were busy chasing after Max in the garden and the poor pussy cat was so disturbed!

The last time for TV was……. hmmm… was it Detik? or was it CNA? for the life of me i cannot remember. i should really exercise my memory. im putting it to waste.

This is the coolest thing eva! do you know it’s a ‘house’ for mozzies? SO LONG FOGGING! hello green quality stuff that wont choke the living daylights out of me.

I really hate the time of the month when those pest control guys come and fog the ENTIRE area. holly conolly.

this nifty idea is an IDEAL place to breed mozzies, so the mummy mozzy will come and lay their eggs (there’s a net with water below it) and then those little mozzy babies will get trapped (in the concrete slab it’s just water with net covering)!

and then the smart people who designed this eco-friendly garden patch will come and suck all the baby mozzies away.

and there you have it. no more mozzies.

and the cycle continues. each time, hundreds of baby mozzies are collected!

imagine that! and it looks good too! so unassuming, like it’s part of the place’s decor.

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can’t. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

If we forgive the others, others will ignore our mistake too.

Have no idea how some ppl can sleep at night peacefully. I wonder whether their idea of personal growth is the height between them and the ground.

When people go through their zealous, self-righteous period it won’t exactly win them any friends.

I’ve learned my lesson through the hard way.

great workout

i just had the most fantastic upper body workout! my arms are sore, i have beads of sweat as evidence on my entire self……. nothing like sweeping down 4 levels of floor. Don’t get me started on the carpet. i have not touched the washrooms or the roof. praying it will rain so i wont have to water the plants. shelly follows me around when i do the housework and tt silly cat will sniff the dust and everything. and on the roof she will get her paws dirty and sniff around the potted plants. and then i have to scrub her down.

so rain is my best bet. pls pls rain.

now im settled comfortably with Shelly watching Austria Open(boring), waiting for 5pm for the open ceremony of Roland Garros!

with bubble tea and crackers S and i bought earlier.

We went to Holiday Inn yesterday to see the ballroom and sample the food. ok oklah. nothing fantastic. decor looks good though. we have a few more on our list to view and tick off. alot of planning ah wedding.

OMGzzzzz *FACEPALM*

I was gone for half a day and i have 68 emails to respond to!

WHUT? *facepalm* —> a friend was on msn and she did this and now i keep using it onto her. ha ha ha.

Humpday: mid week, it’s akin to climbing a hill and you reach the hump, like either here nor there. so to make me happy, i pasted stickers on my notebook.

did shooting the whole of my evening yesterday so now my voice is hoarse and my legs about to give way.

I just managed to sit on my desk because i had meetings the entire day and am now looking forward to have dinner with S at arab street. hungry hungry hippo.

the next 2 weeks i have clients to shower tlc upon and am loving it!

NADAL LOST.

Jeremy’s tale

So after hours (seems like it) of coaxing and 2 packets of cat food later, S and i managed to get Jeremy into the house (please note the flight of stairs we both had to endure -.-). He wasn’t too pleased it seems. He didnt budge much. I think we traumatised him further, especially after the metal cage incident.

quite saddening. Jeremy used to brush himself against our legs whenever we come home. siiiggghhh… We tried feeding him but all he did was stay in the corner and shivered like a cat in antartica.

And of course Shelly couldn’t sit still. We tried to introduce her to a new friend into the house but the silly cat kept hissing at Jeremy, terrorizing the poor boy even more.

Had no choice, we let Jeremy out in the wee hours in the morning.

Shelly was back to being the queen of the house and Jeremy is off fending himself in the wild.

so.sad.

More of shelly pictures. She really is something this cat. Behaving herself more these days actually, which is a surprise. Gave her a shower last weekend and she didn’t try to run off. she spent her time wisely last weekend and attacked roaming cockroaches and stray lizards. we’ve taught her well. not bad.

Yesterday? S was being generous and fed her SIX fish. -.- so imagine how satiated she was. she ate, slept, ate, slept….. she didn’t disturb us AT ALL. that’s a first. usually she begs for attention.

MPH BOOK SALE

Did you guys go to the MPH sale last weekend??

It was really funny cause on Sat, S and I saw the queue (it snaked 1 whole round in the hall), and decided to give it a miss. We spent the next hour devising a plan to attack the place the next day. So we went into the hall, saw the collections (RECENT ONES!) and came up with a gameplan.

it was so comical! but the execution was not really meted out because we came early in the morning so a queue hadn’t been formed at all.

We bought a whole box of books! home decor books, kitchen planning books (i love it!), home paint colour books, party DIY book (i LOVE THIS SO MUCH! great nifty ideas! will share them next time), cookbooks! (8 bucks!), Lonely Planet books (10 bucks! bought hong kong, RUSSIA & BELARUS ke ke ke ke……:P )…. and so many others i cannot remember.

but boy was it worth it. we calculated and we ended up paying about 6 bucks per book!

Currently, am reading this book by Tim Harford – The Logic of Life.

Amusing read really. get a copy of it if you can!

Madrid Open FINALS!

Did anyone watch the finals?? i wouldn’t say it was as good as the game between Verdasco and Nadal but i sure enjoyed seeing the despondent look on Nadal’s face when he lost.

Initially i wanted to title my entry as “Federer WON!”

but figured nadal lost is more newsy. evidently, i do not like nadal.

here’s who im rooting for.

I was telling S he’s gay until i did a little research, he used to date my fav female player! Ana Ivanovic. Match made in heaven. if you see how hot these two are. both on and off court.

sigh. think im in love. cannot wait for French Open. CANNOT. 24th May.WATCH IT.

The best thing S and I did this month is to subsribe for Sports Channel. Best PURCHASE!

BBOLD

I dont know how many times i have been to starhub to bug the personels on BBOLD functions. 2 Days ago I went with dad and bombarded a service officer with more questions. i tell you, bbold is smart. do you know how smart a phone can get?

i have also watched countless of youtube videos on bbold and shortcut functions bbold has. it is one powerful gadget. it’s just a matter of whether one knows how to use it.

Yesterday, excited like a bunny, S and i went to queue up to get a bbold.

luck has it, the store ran out of it. so guess who took half day tomorrow to get bbold? HA HA HA HA. ok, im kidding. Took half day cause i have an interview with CNA. (honestly speaking, i would dwell more on this if i know what the interview is for, but honest to god i dont. so ill update when i know. hilarious.)

and i had coffee on the house from starbucks.

I love mama

Have you told your mother you loved her today?

every morning, my family has breakfast together at Nusantara@ Telok Ayer (have you been here before? If not, you are CLEARLY missing out on good food. )

And every morning, i catch a glimpse of  my mother at the counter with her apron on and that image is captured in my head for the whole day.

Most evenings, i call her and we chat briefly on work and gossips for the day.

She gets on my nerves sometimes, which mother doesn’t….

but for most parts of it, i love her dearly and every night before i close my eyes i thank god for her presence in my life.
