Family

I had a heart to heart talk with mummy last night. and i felt like the weight of a giant’s off my shoulders. I don’t quite know why i never shared with her from the very beginning. sometimes you want to protect the one you really love from the ugly truth. :/

my mum is awesome. She’s been on an over-drive mode the past 4 days. She had catering, she had to cook for raya, she made the bedsheets, she baked most of the cookies last week and she sewed the curtains all by herself. I think her 3 kids made a mess during baking. Rayyan had cornflake bits all over the floor, his nails had bits of flour underneath it, his shirt was covered in flour and still my mum didn’t make any noise.

She is the epitome of a mother. hell, she’s the mother of all mothers.

now? feel shit brokeless because i’m on the the other side of the fence.

how come malay families got so many kiiidddssss……… aiyyyooohhsss….

the amount of green packets i gave out today, i can buy myself those YSL boots and still have left over to get 5 pearl tea!!

and it’s only the first day! ouch.

sobs sobs sobbbssss……make sure when i grow up, ill have a battalion of kids so they can collect green packets and i can recycle theirs. HA HA.

but, to be surrounded by family members? priceless. i love every single second of it.

as i was driving earlier, i got reminded of datuk and for the life of me i couldn’t remember our last raya together. that’s the thing about memories huh, they just disappear one fine day without you realising it.

every raya i cry alone in bed cause he’s not with us anymore.

for what it’s worth, i was on reallly high heels. and i stopped at her chest.

star gazing event. went to Dempsey for the celebratory party but left Sandy mid way to crash in bed at home.

But my client was wearing the most beautiful pair of shoes that night. im guessing from ysl, if not gucci. shall go bug her.

We’ve been spending a whole lot of time together the past 2 weeks. it’s insane. We spent the first half of yesterday running around. first we had to drive to changi to see the trains get installed with awesome adidas stuff (pics soon when i get them from TLTL).

we were like kids, freezing empty train, empty driver’s seat….;)

then we had to rush to Toa Payoh for Jetstar’s second event. Havent even got a chance to upload those. These are from last week, evidently.

DJ Shan was there and boy is he tall.

i caught Addrean and asked him to try it out with me. i cheated. i dont know how to jump with heels. so i posed.

Alritey, gotta run out of the house to run errands.

PS: I think it’s awfully rude for someone to not call or text when the need arises. no? It’s so mean. :/

monday not so blue.

Today started off very good.

I received positive news today so I’m going to reward myself with a little present during lunch.

I don’t usually take the bus (nor the train actually) to work but it wasn’t the case this morning.

It was a strange affair. Firstly, the traffic is terrible. Secondly, it felt like a sardine tin.

Why oh why oh why.

When I don’t have a ride to places and end up on lengthy bus rides, I like to fixate myself with an object. This morning it was this young lad decked in uniform sitting at the exit of the bus.

He had the whole bad boy vibe going on with music blasting. It was so loud I was practically singing along during the entire trip.

He had Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Shontelle playing. It was quite funny seeing this tough guy playing female songs. Heh.

That’s not the main highlight of the story. So as I was stealing glances at him (not because he was cute but because I was intrigued by his wannabe attitude), I think he thought I was into him! So he did this ‘tsk tsk’ kind of a sound. Then he ‘clucked and clicked’. All this while, I was staring straight out of the window.

And then I heard the strangest noise from his mouth and I had to look. When I did do so, he stuck out his tongue piercing, the ball thing, whatever you  call it and started playing with it. errmmm, pushing it in and out using his lips. It was mighty disturbing.  All the while giving me the bad boy look!

Eeck. Why do people find tongue piercing appealing? :/

Doesn’t it get in the way?

On other news, I finally bought myself a pair of fitflops! If you have not heard about it yet, you are pretty slow. Get out now and get yourself a pair!

My head of HR has 5 pairs!

Ok, here’s the scanned ad from Shape Magazine.

If you’re on heels for 5 days straight (i.e. ME), then these flops are heaven sent for the weekends. Or even in between wears.

Ok, am counting down to Hari Raya! Yesterday, the whole house filled up with the smell of freshly baked cookies.

Mmmmmmm….. reminds me why I love hari raya so much.

We had so much laughter baking cookies together.

Lancing – lancing

I enjoyed my day thoroughly at work.

it was a 2 day affair cause my client’s birthday coincidentally fell the day after. We went to airport to have a little something. )

On other news, i want to buy FitFlops. Sigh, if only i saw the footwear BEFORE my birthday then i can demand from ppl who kept asking me what i wanted.

and i have been spending an awful lot. I think it comes with being slightly down. what do you think?
